The fifth annual Savannah International Boat Show will be held this Friday, March 30- Sunday, April 1, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center and in-water on the Savannah River.

The Show will feature more then 90 different brands of boats, 120 marine exhibitors and a multitude of special features. "Many of our exhibitors participate in the largest boat shows in the country, but will come to Savannah because they love the flavor of the Show and the incredible destination," said founder and producer Jacqui McGuinness.

The uniqueness of this Boat Show is that it has boats on display along the Savannah River and in the world-class Convention Center on Hutchinson Island, Savannah, GA.

The Show will feature a nautical sculpture made from 10 tons of sand. Professional sand sculptor and Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) Professor, Julie Leiberman will be creating a large boating scene which will later be plundered by 10 contest finalists on Sunday, April 1, at 3pm.These finalists will be searching for a small toy boat. The winner will take home an inflatable boat and outboard engine compliments of Mercury MerCruiser, the Show's presenting sponsor. For contest information, listeners can go to Lucky Dog Country 106.9, 107.9 the Coast, or 103.1 the Drive.

Several SCAD students will be on-site teaching children the fine art of sand sculptures. All nautical sand sculpting will take place in a giant sandbox inside the exhibit hall of the Trade Center.

Fishing seminars and demonstrations will be held throughout the Show. Caricaturist Tony Stewart will be on-site Saturday afternoon drawing attendees for free from noon-3pm. The Savannah Sailing Center will give people the opportunity to experience sailing from right inside the facility with their special OPTI Sailing Simulator. Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary will share underwater footage of the Reef and give kids a "fishy" experience.

Outside, there will be seafood, beverages and live music overlooking the Savannah River.

Up-and-coming Nashville star, Branan Logan, will perform Saturday from noon-5pm, while Band in the Park performs from 1-4pm on Sunday.
